Senior Restaurant Manager
Overview
Mika, the acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant by James Beard Award–winning Chef Michael White, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations and elevate the guest experience. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a high-volume, quality-driven environment and leads with both precision and warmth.
The Senior Restaurant Manager will be a key leader on the floor, setting the tone for service excellence, mentoring management and service teams, and upholding the standards of one of Coral Gables’ premier dining destinations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service and operational excellence
Act as a visible leader on the floor during service, anticipating guest needs and resolving issues with grace and urgency
Support the General Manager in driving performance, accountability, and culture
Lead pre-service meetings and reinforce service standards and brand values
Team Development
Recruit, train, coach, and mentor managers and FOH staff
Foster a professional, respectful, and motivated team culture
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development
Uphold company policies, labor standards, and compliance requirements
Guest Experience
Deliver a refined, personalized, and memorable guest experience aligned with the Mika brand
Build relationships with regular guests and VIPs
Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and empathy
Financial & Administrative
Assist with budgeting, cost control, and achieving revenue and profitability goals
Monitor labor, scheduling, and payroll efficiency
Ensure adherence to service, safety, and sanitation standards
Support inventory oversight and coordination with bar and culinary leadership
Qualifications
Minimum 5–7 years of restaurant management experience, including senior or multi-manager leadership
Fine-dining or upscale-casual background strongly preferred
Proven ability to lead high-volume service while maintaining exceptional standards
Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Professional demeanor with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
