Bartender

MIKA by Michael White is a modern Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of Coral Gables, led by award-winning Chef Michael White. We are seeking experienced, passionate Bartenders to deliver exceptional beverages and warm, polished service in a high-energy, refined dining environment.

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for creating a memorable guest experience through expertly crafted cocktails, wine, and spirits, while maintaining efficiency, consistency, and genuine hospitality. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to MIKA standards

• Maintain deep knowledge of the cocktail menu, wine list, spirits, and Mediterranean-inspired offerings

• Provide attentive, friendly, and professional service to guests at the bar and throughout the restaurant

• Engage guests with confidence, making recommendations and enhancing their dining experience

• Ensure proper mise en place, cleanliness, and organization of the bar at all times

• Accurately ring in orders and handle cash/credit transactions

• Follow all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines

• Collaborate with management and service staff to ensure seamless service

• Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory, and restocking as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant

• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Team-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Must meet all local requirements for alcohol service
